About the project
On one of the fastest-growing islands of the Saronic Gulf, Salamina, a family of four chose to build their permanent home.
The residence was constructed from reinforced concrete with external insulation (thermal façade/ETICS) using the MONOBLOCK method and is classified in energy category B+.
An additional structural feature of the house is the columns and beams used to reinforce the structure, allowing for the possibility of adding an extra floor in the future.
It is a heavy-duty prefabricated home, built in accordance with the Greek Reinforced Concrete Regulation (EKΩS), the Greek Anti-Seismic Regulation (EAK), and the Energy Performance Regulation (KENAK).
The company undertook the project in its entirety, including: issuance of the building permit, study and supervision by an associate civil engineer, construction and installation of the house, as well as basement construction, verandas, and the overall landscaping of the surrounding area with partner building crews.
In terms of layout, the prefabricated home includes three (3) bedrooms—one master and two additional bedrooms—one bathroom, and an open-plan kitchen and living area.
Results
The selection of interior finishing materials—tiles, bedroom wardrobes, kitchen cabinets, and painting works—was made personally by the owners from a wide range of designs and styles offered by the company, ensuring that each project is unique, just like each customer.
Due to the steep natural slope of the land, a basement was constructed to support the prefabricated home. The basement was built by the company’s partner masonry crew, relieving the owners from having to search for and select a suitable contractor for these works.
The company’s partner builders undertook both the basement and the broader landscaping works—verandas, veranda canopies, boundary walls, railings, and the entrance gate—delivering the project on schedule and, most importantly, within the agreed budget, with no unexpected expenses or hidden costs.
